The Payroll Protection Program is designed to provide employers financing equal to 2.5 months' of the expenses associated with employing individuals. Some restrictions apply (example: each individual’s compensation used to determine total financing is “capped” at $100,000 per annum per individual, while other additional expenses may be included, for example state and local payroll taxes). By using the average monthly payroll expense from the past 12 months, you can quickly determine the approximate potential credit facility.
